About Us
… and meet an Unconventional Expert
Martin Haslinger is not only our company’s trainer, he is my husband. When I met him, he was a salesperson working for a computer hardware manufacturer. He worked for the same company for 14 years and eventually transitioned to being a recruiter. As a 360 recruiter, he called on a large manufacturer for his very first cold call. He turned the call into a recruiting contract and placed several high-level candidates. Within two years of being a recruiter, Martin co-founded a recruitment firm specializing in manufacturing. The transition to recruiting was easy for him, as he had strong exposure to the various job functions within manufacturing and was familiar with necessary skills.
Meet Martin Haslinger
Recruitment Expert
Self Proclaimed Unconventional Expert
As a recruiter, Martin soon realized that established guidelines do not always determine how well a candidate will fit into a given position. This is because traditional institution-guided skills don’t fit the needs of every position and additional candidate qualities need to be explored. Martin found success as a recruiter by harvesting candidates who’s skills transcend traditional institution guided paths. These workers thrive in tasks that are:
Unstructured
Complex
Creativity-driven
Strategy-dependent
Project-oriented
Martin calls these workers Unconventional Experts; which he champions in his publication Culture of Experts. Culture of Experts is a free online talent acquisition and employee development program, available at CultureOfExperts.com. Certainly, Martin is available to train on these advanced concepts, however, his ability to guide foundational recruitment methods should be the starting point for any challenging search.
It all starts with Client Services
As the founder of Bridge-To-Hire, I prefer the title of Client Services. Having worked within a Client Services position for both Ticketmaster and Live Nation Ticketing for over 17 years, I know how much companies rely on business-to-business services in the form of information exchange. Training clients to operate ticketing software was one of my most important tasks, as real-time human interaction was necessary to ensure seamless operations to the end-customer.
When it comes to finding, hiring and retaining top talent, there are proven methods that can help manufacturers move forward. When there are challenges, it is my job to connect people, for the sharing of information. I’m not a trainer, however, through Client Services I can make sure necessary information is exchanged. As long as manufacturers need to navigate talent gaps within the workforce, our services will be much needed. Bridge-To-Hire can help bridge those gaps.
